Merger Photo Preview

1) I can see in the photo that one of the images of the girl does not include a shadow. The sun might pose to be a problem when shooting a merger photo.

2) I think it would be great to take a merger photo at the picnic tables near the portables.

3) I think it would be interesting to have my subject sitting at different benches and doing different things in my merger photo.

4) I think it would help to wear mutual colored clothing so nothing stands out too much. I feel like it would be harder to get the images to combine.

HDR Photography

1) Use auto-exposure bracketing if possible, If not, just use a tripod.

2) We will need a DSLR camera and a tripod to take an HDR image.

3) Someone might take an HDR image at night, in order to better represent a dark subject. Mainly, HDR images are taken when a photograph has a humongous range of contrast: too much for one image to handle.

4) Once we merge the images together, we might expect to see new light on our image. HDR photos make our brights brighter and our darks darker, So we can expect to see a much more intense photograph.

Final Exam Planning

1) I will shoot this assignment beginning May 8th, as soon as I can get my hands on a camera.

2) I will shoot mostly in downtown austin, but also including my neighborhood, and the trip to downtown.

3) My story will be about my weekend day, beginning with my family, and usually ending at one of my friend's houses or at a show.

4) The only equipment I will need is a DSLR camera capable of shooting video.

5) I plan for my narration to be in the beginning, using it as an introduction. Then I plan to play my video throughout the entire project, and insert still images where they are appropriate.

Final Exam Preview Activity

1.      I learned the basics of creating a new movie in iMovie and navigating between the tools, clips, audio, and so on. First, you must  begin a new project and choose the dimensions for your movie. Then you must select a frame rate, and you can add a theme if you'd like. The iMovie tools are located at the bottom of the screen and the ones in use are displayed at the right. 

         You can add many things to your footage, such as still images, underlying audio, transitions, and much more. You can use the clip trimmer or precision editor in order to determine the length of your clips. You can also choose a song to run through transitions or maybe continue playing in the end once the footage is over with. All these components can help to create a professional-looking, emotion-filled video.

2. I already knew that you could add music to videos, but the website brought it into detail.

3. I didn't know that the music could keep playing after the footage has ended. Or that you could use music in the introduction before the footage begins. 

4. I'm concerned about the video aspect of this project. Creating a cinematic movie is a very hard thing to do.

5. I am confident that I can complete the photo story aspect of my project once I can obtain a camera.

6. If you asked me today, I'd probably shoot a vintage-style video about my lifestyle, including footage with my family and friends. Or maybe I could do a short horror film.
